That email figure compares with 63% across the five countries we cover, and 20% of the Canadian addresses we found are free webmail (Gmail, Outlook and the like) rather than a business domain. 96% of the businesses list a phone number on Google Maps.
Google Maps returns a limited number of places per search, so one search across Toronto or Vancouver misses most of it. The location picker lists Canada's forward sortation areas — the first three characters of a postal code, about 1,650 of them — so you can cover a metro in small pieces, each searched separately.
Each business comes back with its phone, website, full address, rating, reviews and hours from Google Maps, then the email and social profiles found on its own website — one row per business, exported to XLSX or CSV.
