How we counted

65,386 listings with a review count, of 70,643 in 6,399 lead-list samples (one Google Maps search per industry and city; a few span several zip areas), across 20 industries and 324 cities in the US, the UK, Germany, Canada and Australia, sampled between July 2026 and September 2026. They describe the listings Maps ranks first, not every business in an area (lead-list methodology).

Medians are per listing. Credit figures cap each listing at 2,000 reviews (the most one job reads per place) and average them, since a budget pays for the few listings with thousands too. Each industry rests on at least 2,660 listings; rating figures on 70,065 rated ones.

Three steps

How it works

  1. Pick the places

    Chain it off a finished places scrape, or paste Google Maps links, 0x…:0x… place IDs or bare CIDs, one per line. Up to 5,000 places per job.

  2. Set how many reviews per place

    1 to 2,000, in the Reviews tab's default order (Google's “Most relevant”); set it above a place's review count to get them all. The job reserves places × cap and refunds what isn't used.

  3. Export

    One table, one row per review, each tagged with its place. Download it as XLSX or CSV.

Questions

Limits, pricing and what the data is.

What does the reviews scraper export?

One row per review: the place (name, Google IDs and link), reviewer name and profile link, the reviewer's total review count and Local Guide status, star rating, date, the full review text, any owner response, likes and the number of photos attached. Exported as XLSX or CSV.

How many reviews can it pull per place?

You choose a cap from 1 to 2,000 per place, and it reads reviews in the order Google's Reviews tab shows them, up to that cap. For most businesses that's their entire history.

Can I scrape reviews for many businesses at once?

Yes — up to 5,000 places per job, either chained off a places scrape or pasted as links or IDs. Every review is tagged with its place, so the whole job exports as one sheet.

How is it priced?

1 credit per review delivered. The job reserves places × cap up front and refunds whatever isn't used, so a place with 40 reviews costs 40 credits even if you set the cap at 500. The first 100 credits are free; the Starter plan is 50,000 credits a month for $19. Per 1,000 reviews that's $0.38 on Starter and $0.276 on Pro when you use the month's credits, or $0.58 on a one-time 50,000-credit pack.

Can I filter by star rating or date while scraping?

Not at scrape time. Set the cap above the place's review count to get every review, then filter in the sheet. Rating is a number from 1 to 5, so it filters directly. Date is Google's relative wording, such as “3 months ago”, so convert it to approximate dates first, as our guide to exporting Google reviews to Excel shows.

Does it download review photos?

It records how many photos each review has (photos_count), not the images themselves.

Why not just use the Google Places API?

The Places API returns at most five reviews per place, which is fine for showing a snippet in an app and useless for analysis. The Business Profile API returns every review, but only for businesses you manage — not your competitors.

Is review data personal data?

Reviewer names and profile links can be personal data under GDPR and similar laws, even though the reviews are public. Analyse reviews in aggregate, keep only what you need, don't contact reviewers, and handle the export in line with your local rules.
